Day 1
Arrival in Kasese

Arrive at Kasese town, the gateway to Rwenzori Mountains National Park. Transfer to your accommodation and settle in. Depending on your arrival time, explore Kasese town and its surroundings.

Day 2
Nyakalengija to Nyabitaba Hut

After breakfast, drive to Nyakalengija (1,646m), the starting point of the trek. Begin your hike through montane forest and bamboo vegetation. Arrive at Nyabitaba Hut (2,652m) for overnight camping. Enjoy dinner and rest.

Day 3
Nyabitaba Hut to John Matte Hut

Continue trekking through the Kurt Schaffer Bridge and the muddy trail. Reach the John Matte Hut (3,414m) and camp there for the night.

Day 4
Summit of Mount Stanley (Margherita Peak)

Start early for the summit attempt on Mount Stanley (5,109m), Africa's third-highest peak. Climb through snow and glacier-covered slopes (depending on the season). Enjoy breathtaking views from the summit, including the Rwenzori glaciers. Descend back to Elena Hut for overnight camping. Depart for your onward journey or transfer to the airport.
